Participating in the Adopt-A-Student Program is a way to provide financial support of the $10,000 funding gap which is the difference between the cost of educating each student versus the funding.
The Carole Kearns Adopt-A-Student Scholarship Fund was created in 2021 to honor Carole's abundant heart and love of this transformative program.
The Gary Phillips Scholarship Fund
For nearly 15 years, Gary was supported Verbum Dei High School on a personal level and through his firm, Phillips & Associates. Gary helped to establish the Mission Advancement Office through his time, talent, and financial generosity. Gary exemplified being a “man with and for others” and this scholarship allows deserving young men to follow in his footsteps.
The Jack Lasater Scholarship Fund was created in 2021 for all students at Verbum Dei. Through the fund, you can assist Verbum Dei in honor of Jack and his support of the young men that he loved mentoring and his generous spirit to Verbum Dei.
To Honor Mark Wood and his dedication to Verbum Dei The Mark Wood Scholarship Fund was created in his memory to honor the commitment he had for Verb. Through this scholarship his generous spirit will endure and continue to inspire.
The Annual Fund is our end of year campaign which raises money for the Mission Advancement's $3.5 million budget.
Under Fr. Privett's leadership Verbum Dei achieved the highest fundraising levels in the history of the school as well as the Cristo Rey Network. To keep his presence felt on campus and in the Watts community, he is honored with The Stephen Privett S.J. Scholarship Fund for Verbum Dei Students.
The Fr. Michael Mandala Adopt-A-Student Fund is a scholarship fund for all students at Verbum Dei Jesuit. By supporting this fund, you honor Fr. Mandala and assist Verbum Dei Jesuit in helping young gentlemen achieve their dreams.
The General Fund supports Verbum Dei Jesuit's operational expenses which maintains the school's safe and nurturing academic environment.
